A man has been seriously injured after falling off a horse in Taranaki this morning.
The incident happened at Stratford at about 8.55am, according to a Hato Hone St John media alert.
Two vehicles attended the incident and treated one patient at the scene. A St John spokesperson confirmed one person had fallen off a horse.
Taranaki Rescue Helicopter Trust pilot, Chris Hall, said the man had a suspected spinal injury and was airlifted to Wellington Hospital then Christchurch Hospital where spinal injuries were treated.
