A Hawkes Bay farmer who admitted 56 animal welfare offences on a farm at Te Pohue in September 2004 and January last year was ordered in the Napier District Court yesterday to have nothing to do with farm animals for five years.
Philip William Peacock, 35, was also sentenced to 300 hours' community work and ordered to pay $750 towards the cost of the investigation.
