Richmond architect and author Grahame Anderson believes he might have found an anchor from one of Dutch explorer Abel Tasman's ships.
He is close to gaining the help he needs to retrieve what he believes is one of the Heemskerck's anchors, left on the seabed off the coast of Tasmania 361 years ago.
The University of Tasmania and the heritage section of the Tasmanian Department of Parks and Wildlife had indicated their support for the project.
