The 38-year-old man charged with murdering Christchurch woman Amy Farrall and attacking two tourists is due to appear in the High Court this morning.
The Otaki man, who has name suppression, had his first court appearance at his hospital bed earlier this month.
He made no plea to charges of murder, sexual violation, aggravated robbery and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Police allege he killed Ms Farrall then travelled to the West Coast where he attacked tourists Michaela Brandl and Niki Honda on March 30.
Hundreds farewelled Ms Farrall at a private funeral last Tuesday while the two tourists were discharged from hospital last Wednesday.
