American tourist's body found at Arthur's Pass

The body of a missing American tourist was found in the Browning Pass area of Arthur's Pass National Park last night.

West Coast Search and Rescue said a search was launched at midday. The man was last seen entering the Styx River near Hokitika on March 1 and was intending to do the "three pass tramp" through to Arthur's Pass arriving on March 5.


He was named today as Christopher Clarke, 34, of Ohio.
