A coroner has amended her finding regarding the death of Christchurch man John MacDonald, who died from "severe blood loss"after a motorcycle accident in December 2009.
He had been taking part in a clinical trial for blood thinning drug rivaroxaban.
In her finding, Coroner Sue Johnson initially referred to the man wearing a medic alert bracelet.
This has since been amended to "bracelet", which was given to him as a trial participant.
During Mr MacDonald's medical treatment, an emergency department registrar phoned the emergency number on the bracelet but there was no answer and emergency department staff did not see a wallet card with alternative numbers, the finding said.
