Ambulance services avert industrial action

Ambulance officers in Auckland and Northland have accepted a pay offer by St John Ambulance, averting threats of industrial action.

A spokesman for the National Distribution Union, which represents about 250 ambulance officers, said members had ratified a collective agreement on Friday that included a 4.8 per cent pay increase for 12 months.
