Four people were taken to hospital for check-ups after a crash involving a St John ambulance at a Christchurch intersection today.
The crash happened shortly before 5pm on the intersection of Clyde Road and Memorial Ave.
A St John spokesman told NZPA two staff had been travelling in the ambulance to an urgent call-out in the city, and there were no patients on board.
The two ambulance staff and two people from the other vehicle involved were taken to hospital as a precaution after the collision.
The crash had blocked the road and police were still at the scene.
More details would be available later, St John and police said.
