Approximately 450 New Zealanders have been safely accounted for in Bali, but the Foreign Affairs Ministry is still trying to account for another 195.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade spokesman Brad Tattersfield told NZPA that the 195 people were not necessarily casualties of yesterday's bomb blast at a popular nightclub.
"They are people that family members have told us are in Bali at the moment," he said.
Mr Tattersfield said because most New Zealanders in Bali were holidaymakers it was making it difficult to track them down.
The ministry was still trying to track down one missing New Zealander and confirm Indonesian media reports that another man was dead.
No official details were available about either man.
Mr Tattersfield said 12 New Zealanders had been reported injured, with eight requiring hospital treatment. Two had been seriously burned.
One was due to be flown to Singapore for treatment by his insurer. The other should be evacuated later today by the Australian air force.
