Alleged cop shooter Murray Toleafoa made a brief reappearance in court today.
Toleafoa, 30, is charged with attempted murder and unlawful use of a firearm after allegedly shooting at but not hitting a police officer who stopped the car he was in on Mayoral Drive in central Auckland early on June 8.
The bullet passed close enough to leave burns on the officer's forearms.
Toleafoa was arrested after more than four days on the run and the woman who was allegedly driving the car, Toleafoa's 20-year-old girlfriend Nadia Ball.
She was also arrested and charged with unlawful posession of a pistol.
