KEY POINTS:
An alleged paedophile held birthday parties for toddlers while on bail for numerous sex charges.
Richard Miller, 45, appeared in Napier District Court on Tuesday for breaching his bail conditions, Hawke's Bay Today reported.
Miller has been charged with 12 sex crimes, including the rape and abduction of a six-year-old girl, indecent assault and unlawful sexual connection with children aged between six and 16.
A requirement of his bail conditions were that he was not allowed to have any contact with children under 16 - except his teenage daughter.
Police prosecutor John Ashfield said Miller had children at his house, including two birthday parties for boys under the age of three.
He has also breached his electronic bail eight times.
Five witnesses, whose names have been suppressed, gave evidence they had seen Miller with children at the house.
Miller denied the breaches of bail.
Judge Bridget Mackintosh revoked Miller's bail.
He will appear in the High Court at Napier on May 6.
