KEY POINTS:
An alleged drunk and unlicenced driver, accompanied by six children under the age of four, has been bailed.
Trevina Baker allegedly recorded a breath alcohol level of twice the legal limit.
Four of the six children in the car were hers.
She will reappear in court on December 3. Until then the 28-year-old is not to consume alcohol or enter licenced premises.
She was pulled over at 1.30am and her kids were not in restraints, Radio New Zealand reported.
Police also said the children were only in nappies, in conditions they described as very cold.
There was already a warrant out for the woman's arrest, who is a repeat drink driver, and police say she was very fortunate not to have her kids placed in the care of Child Youth and Family.
Instead she has had the children placed in the care of a close confidant.
