An alleged drug-driver was caught with a weapon and a stash of drugs after a member of the public raised concerns about her driving on a West Coast highway.
Police said they were alerted to the woman's unsafe driving as she headed south from Westport on State Highway 6 yesterday.
She was stopped by police about 1.30pm and failed a drug impairment test.
Police said a 52-year-old Rununga woman would appear in Greymouth District Court today facing drugs, weapons and driving charges.
The charges include driving while under the influence of drugs, possession of drug utensils, possession of methamphetamine and cannabis resin, possession for supply of LSD, and possession of an offensive weapon.
