Two men accused of stealing items from a campervan parked on Petone's Esplanade on Monday have been granted bail.
Upper Hutt men Merrick Cooper and Stephen O'Neill, both 29, were remanded in custody pending bail applications when they first appeared in Lower Hutt District Court on Tuesday.
They will be back in court later this month, as will co-accused Levi O'Connor, 20, who was bailed on their first appearance.
No pleas have yet been entered to charges of theft of property from the van. Police believe it was being used by Rugby World Cup tourists, thought to be Australians.
