A second psychiatric report will be prepared for the man charged with attempted murder after he allegedly attacked a campervan in Golden Bay last month.
The 59-year-old Christchurch man's case was called in Nelson District Court yesterday. He was not present in court and was remanded in custody until February 15. He has interim name suppression, the Nelson Mail reported.
Two attempted murder charges were laid after an attack on a campervan parked in a picnic area in Pakawau. A 46-year-old Hamilton man and his 24-year-old Chinese partner, a New Zealand resident, were the victims of the alleged attack.
