KEY POINTS:
All south- and norhtbound lanes on Auckland's State Highway 1 are now clear after two crashes blocked several lanes this afternoon.
All lanes are now open and traffic is flowing well.
Two lanes, southbound, on the Newmarket viaduct had been blocked earlier by a crash involving two vehicles and a feed tanker.
Another crash on Auckland's southern motorway at Manurewa northbound had closed two lanes after a crash involving a gravel truck and two other vehicles.
There are no serious injuries reported although the truck driver has been taken to Middlemore Hospital with facial cuts.
The truck was carrying gravel and the scene will take some considerable time to be cleared. Traffic is already backed up and significant delays can be expected.
Traffic was prevented from entering the motorway, northbound at Takanini to ease congestion and other traffic was using the one remaining lane.
