The All Blacks attended a wreath laying service at the New Zealand Memorial, Hyde Park Corner, London with Sir Lockwood Smith and other New Zealand representatives who paid their respects to New Zealanders who died in World War 1. Those who lost their lives lost their lives in World War I included 13 All Blacks; Albert Downing, Henry Dewar, Frank Wilson, Robert Black, George Sellars, James Baird, Reginald Taylor, James McNeece, Dave Gallaher, ‘Jum’ Turtill, Eric Harper, Ernest Dodd and Alex Ridlan
