He's asking for more game time but All Blacks first-five Dan Carter is expecting to be named on the bench for the first test of the year against Fiji.
Carter's been hampered by injuries throughout the Crusaders' Super Rugby campaign and is desperate to have time on the field.
But he says he's unlikely to start against at Carisbrook on Friday.
He says the way they trained today, he';ll either be on the bench, or not playing at all.
The first All Blacks side of the year is named tomorrow morning at 7am.
