All Black Norm Maxwell was today remanded on charges arising from an incident at a Dunedin bar at the weekend.
Maxwell, 29, who is accused of assault and threatening behaviour, had his case adjourned by a registrar at Dunedin District Court.
Maxwell did not appear and he was remanded without plea until May 23.
Crusaders lock Maxwell allegedly shoulder-charged a doorman after being asked to leave the Ra Cafe and Bar, in Dunedin's Octagon, about 4.45am on Sunday.
He spent about three hours in Dunedin police station cells before being released on bail.
