All Black and Chiefs loose forward Sione Lauaki has been involved in another fight, the Waikato rugby union said today.
Waikato rugby union chief executive Gary Dawson said the fight happened outside a bar in Auckland nine days ago and involved Auckland reserve centre Roimata Hansell-Pune.
The incident followed the clash between the two teams in the Air New Zealand Cup.
Earlier in the year, Lauaki admitted assaulting a security officer while on a night out in Hamilton in January. He accepted a police diversion.
The Waikato union has investigated the latest incident and has taken "appropriate" disciplinary action, but would not specify what that was.
Mr Dawson said: "There are a number of on-going things we will be doing with Sione. I am not prepared to go into details on that."
Auckland chief executive Andy Dalton said Hansell-Pune had received a bloody nose. He did not believe his player had provoked the attack and he did not retaliate.
Mr Dalton said: "He has certainly learnt a big lesson, I think, and he was extremely remorseful that he has been involved at all.
"There were a number of senior players present and they dealt with it very quickly and efficiently."
The players have spoken to each other and no complaint has been made to police.
