KEY POINTS:
All Black flanker Adam Thomson made a brief appearance in the Hastings District Court this morning charged with assaulting his partner following an incident on Sunday.
Thomson was arrested on Sunday in Havelock North after allegedly assaulting Joanne Holley that morning.
The 26-year-old male entered the court at 9am wearing a beanie-cap and sunglasses which he was made to take off.
He did not speak during his brief appearance and was remanded on bail and without plea until January 29.
His bail conditions were that he resided at his Dunedin address and not to "offer violence" to the complainant.
After he signed the bail bond he evaded waiting media and hopped into a police car 2-1/2 blocks from the courthouse.
Thomson represented New Zealand at secondary schools, under-19, under-21 and Sevens before he made his All Blacks debut in June this year against Ireland.
