An aggressive armed man robbed the Albany Westfield Mall's National Bank this afternoon while about 20 people were inside.
Detective Sergeant Adam Lough said the Asian man, in his mid 20s, entered the bank with a pistol about 2pm.
"He was very aggressive in his manner and demanded money from tellers," Mr Lough said.
About 20 people, including the public and staff, were in the bank and all had been interviewed.
The man was described as being about 172-177cm tall, of medium to athletic build and weighing about 80kg.
He was wearing a long-sleeved grey or blue hoodie, with a white pattern on it.
