A Christchurch man hit by a train in Levin last month will return home once his condition improves but he is still looking for his luggage.
The man, known as `Alan', was hit by a train at Levin railway station on May 28. The cause of his accident is still not yet clear though there is no evidence of suspicious circumstances.
Alan - who wants to keep his real name a secret- was formally identified on June 7.
The Manawatu Standard said Alan was now fully conscious and improving every day.
Alan lost his yellow and black backpack and a suitcase when he had the accident and police are still trying to track these down.
Anyone with information about the luggage can call Levin police on (06)3660500.
