An Air Force serviceman may lose his wings after being convicted on pornography charges.
Ohakea airman David John Gilmour, 41, was yesterday sentenced on 12 charges of possessing pornographic images and two of making intimate visual recordings when he appeared in Whanganui District Court, the Wanganui Chronicle reported.
The charges related to incidents between July 1, 2007 and May 1, 2009, although the circumstances were not made available in court yesterday.
Sentencing Gilmour to six months' home detention, Judge John Clapham told him his behaviour as a serviceman had been unacceptable.
An Air Force spokesman said the airman's retention was under review.
