Air NZ checks give all clear

Air New Zealand says checks of its Boeing 737s have revealed no problems.

The airline carried out inspections on eight of its 14 737s last night.

Several hundred passengers had their flights delayed as a consequence but schedules were back to normal this morning.

Air New Zealand said checks were undertaken on part of the rudder assembly, at the request of Boeing.
