Air base to super-yacht hub

The former Hobsonville air base will be transformed into a marine hub dedicated to building some of the world's finest super yachts. Developer Waitakere Properties hopes to complete the first stage of the $80 million project by 2011. The 20ha site will be equipped to deal with building yachts as long as 75m.
