Ailing swimmer rescued

A swimmer was rescued off a Coromandel beach after suffering a heart attack yesterday afternoon. The 30-year-old man was swimming by Mahurangi Island at Hahei Beach and was pulled from the water by someone on a nearby boat who gave him CPR until the Westpac rescue helicopter arrived to take him to Auckland City Hospital.
