A Wanganui service station was targeted in an aggravated robbery last night.
A man in a blue hoodie threatened the attendant at the Gonville Mobil Service Station with a knife about 11pm, said Wanganui CIB acting Detective Senior Sergeant Kevin Anstis.
The man, whose face was covered by a scarf, demanded the attendant put money into a plastic bag before he ran out of the service station with an undisclosed sum.
The attendant was unhurt.
Not long after, police were involved in a pursuit with a blue Holden Berlina about 4km away from the aggravated robbery, before the car crashed in Alma Rd and at least two occupants escaped, he said.
Police were interested in any information relating to the robbery or pursuit.
