KEY POINTS:
Police are investigating the aggravated burglary of a house which followed a traffic incident outside the property.
Inspector William Taylor, of police northern communications, said residents of the West Hoe Heights house in Orewa were assaulted and a large television and jewellery were stolen.
Two people were arrested at a house on the Hibiscus Coast Highway in relation to the incident. The television had been recovered but the jewellery was still missing.
