Aftershocks continue to rock Fiordland in the South Island after last month's mammoth 7.8 quake.
A quake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale struck 100km west of Te Anau this afternoon at 4.25pm.
The quake had a focal depth of 5km and was felt as far east as Invercargill, according to the GNS website.
Last month's 7.8 quake was the biggest in the world so far this year.
