Aftershock measuring 4.2 felt in Canterbury

Canterbury was shaken by an aftershock measuring 4.2 magnitude this afternoon.

It struck at 4.49pm, and was centred 10km east of Christchurch at a depth of 7km.

The quake was felt throughout Canterbury, GNS Science reported.
