A rowdy crowd of internationals is screaming at the TV screen action off the coast of West Africa. New Zealanders join fellow crew members from several other Rugby World Cup nations onboard the world's largest non-governmental hospital ship, Africa Mercy.
Courtesy of satellite TV, the Kiwis among the Mercy ship crew were scouring the fixtures to catch the games.
Miriam Tillman from Christchurch is the Africa Mercy pharmacist. She particularly enjoys watching the rugby with the opposition supporters. "It is always great fun hassling the South Africans or Australians, especially when there are a few Kiwis around to back me up."
