A baby and an adult have been hospitalised suffering from smoke inhalation after a house fire in Auckland at 8.20am today.
A Fire Service spokeswoman said a person from the Smallfield Ave home in Three Kings alerted emergency services to the blaze in the upper level of a two-storey home.
A baby suffering from "severe respiratory problems" and an adult suffering from minor burns and respiratory problems were taken to hospital following the fire.
Fire officers were at the scene, with cordons placed around the home. It was not known how the fire began.
