A creative director of an Auckland-based advertising agency has been awarded nearly $130,000 after the Employment Court ruled his unjustified dismissal in April caused anxiety, distress and humiliation.
Andrew Ayers, former creative director at Advertising Works Ogilvy, had claimed a year's pay of $280,000 plus tens of thousands in damages.
Ogilvy was ordered to pay Mr Ayers $93,333.33 reimbursement, $15,000 compensation for hurt and humiliation and $21,538.46 redundancy.
