The actor who police accuse of engineering his own shooting in Auckland in July last year was remanded on bail until next month for a sentence indication hearing.
Rob Mokaraka, 36, faces four charges relating to the incident: threatening to kill, possession of an imitation firearm to resist arrest, possession of an offensive weapon and assault with a weapon.
He was remanded until March 31 after a brief appearance in Auckland District Court today.
The charges follow a confrontation outside his home in Point Chevalier, west of downtown Auckland, on July 27.
Police say Mokaraka rang 111 to notify them of an armed, agitated man in the area, and then dressed up as the man.
When police arrived he allegedly advanced on them carrying a meat cleaver and two knives and was then shot once in the chest by a police officer.
He was taken to hospital, where he underwent a three-hour operation to remove the bullet.
