After finding success with its political memorabilia the Act party has turned to auctioning members' luxury holiday accommodation on TradeMe in a bid to raise funds for its election campaign.
Up for grabs last night were a "relaxing weekend for two at Cassimir Lodge in the Bay of Plenty", "a week's accommodation in one of the most beautiful villages in France" and "a week in paradise - Fiji".
The auctions are designed to raise funds for the Act campaign and with reserves already met on all three, they look set to bring in close to $2000 between them.
The Bay of Plenty auction, which includes complimentary dinner and breakfast, has been put up by party member Reg Turner, who runs the luxury Cassimir Lodge in Tauranga.
The Fijian accommodation at Lagoon Resort Suva, has been donated by former party board member Jim Sherlock, and the week in Ansouis near Provence has been donated by another Act member.
