A 27-year-old woman who admitted assaulting and abusing a Muslim woman has been bailed to an Auckland house.
Megan Sarah Louise Walton's performance was caught on video by her victim who was abused after stopping at the public toilets in Huntly at the weekend.
Walton was later arrested and charged and pleaded guilty to behaving in an insulting manner that was likely to cause violence and to two charges of assault to Mehpara Khan near the toilets on Saturday.
She was bailed after appearing in the Hamilton District Court on Monday to reappear in court today to confirm a bail address.
Her counsel, Gerard Walsh, also asked for suppression of that property as she had received several threatening messages since the incident.
