Accused prison escaper Arthur Taylor has reportedly ended his hunger strike in Upper Hutt's Rimutaka Prison.
Taylor, awaiting trial on allegations of escaping custody, kidnapping and aggravated wounding, stopped eating on June 1 in protest at being put in solitary confinement.
It is understood he ended his strike on Thursday after consultation with prison staff.
Taylor is due back in the High Court on Monday for a trial date to be set.
