The man accused of murdering another in an upmarket Auckland apartment appeared in the Auckland District Court yesterday with a heavily bandaged arm.
Mohammad Hamid-Zadeh, 31, was charged with murdering Farosad Razani. He had originally been charged with assault.
It is understood Hamid-Zadeh's blood was found in two of the apartment building's lifts.
He was remanded in custody by consent to reappear next month.
A 30-year-old person also in the apartment when emergency services arrived has not been identified.
