A pre-trial hearing for the man accused of killing a 2-month-old baby is underway in the High Court at Wanganui.
Hinekawa Topia died on January 12 last year.
The accused, a 30-year-old man who has interim name suppression, was charged with murder on July 17 last year.
An interim suppression order prohibits the reporting of the pre-trial hearing.
The man's trial, which is set down for four weeks, begins in the High Court at Wanganui on November 4.
