Abuse hurled at murder accused

Supporters of a woman stabbed to death at a party in south Auckland last month today abused the woman charged with her murder.

Name suppression was continued for the accused woman, 32, who is charged with murdering Preva Shortland at a party in Manurewa shortly after midnight on July 11.

About 50 supporters of Ms Shortland were present for today's appearance in Manukau District Court today.

One supporter yelled "f*****g b****" as the accused she was led away to the cells at the end of her appearance.

She will reappear in court early next month.
