A life dedicated to his club

A man who has dedicated 38 years to hockey in Wairarapa has been named a life member of Kia Kaha Hockey Club.
Donald Yee lives and breathes sport, especially hockey, working as Kuranui College sports co-ordinator and having coached " off and on" for Kia Kaha for nearly three decades.
Mr Yee is only one of three current life members of the club that has gone from strength to strength after player numbers dwindled numbers around 30 years ago, to become a vibrant sporting body.
Not only has Mr Yee played hockey since a youngster and coached various grades, he also referees the sport.
This season he is coaching Kia Kaha Warriors and the Wairarapa girls' under- 11 hockey development team.
