KEY POINTS:
A $7 million motor yacht complete with a jacuzzi, wine cellar and LCD mirror television in each cabin is one of the drawcards at this year's Auckland International Boat Show.
The 23m yacht is one of hundreds of boats on show at the annual event this weekend.
Yesterday saw keen viewers turn up to the city's Viaduct Harbour to get a glimpse of some of the country's finest vessels.
The $7 million motor yacht, dubbed The Dutchess, is owned by Auckland businessman Tony Mair, who has been a developer of a number of marinas around the country including Orakei Marina.
The Dutchess has already proven to be popular at Orakei Marina, said services manager Jason Snashall.
"We've had a lot of 'wows'. You can fit up to 200 bottles of wine in the cellar, which has a wrought iron door pattern and blue water in the jacuzzi.
"People are just amazed at the condition."
The vessel also has marks of Kiwiana, with New Zealand inscribed on the back.
"Mr Mair sailed through the Mediterranean last year and he wanted everyone to know he was a Kiwi," Mr Snashall said.
The boat show - which runs today and over the weekend - is in its 10th year. Organisers are expecting crowds of more than last year's 20,000 visitors.
Last year's event also saw more than $100 million change hands.
As well as the hundreds of high-class power and sail, new and used, private, charter and classic vessels, the Viaduct Harbour Marine Village will be home to the latest marine engines, electronics and accessories.
* The Auckland International Boat Show is at the Viaduct Harbour today, tomorrow and Sunday from 10am - 6pm. Prices: Adults $16, children $8, family ticket $40.
