More than 90,000 voters could miss voting in this year's general election because they have not updated enrolment details.
Electoral Enrolment Centre national manager Murray Wicks said 92,042 people had been taken off the electoral roll.
Last month, registered voters should have received a personalised update pack, which they needed to return only if their details had changed.
But thousands of packs were returned because they were "undeliverable", Mr Wicks said.
"Anyone who hasn't received an enrolment update pack by now is either not enrolled or their details are out of date. If this is the case, they need to fill in a new enrolment form to be able to vote."
Enrolment forms are available from PostShops, by calling the free phone number 0800 ENROL NOW (0800 367-656), or online at www.elections.org.nz
Those who needed to make changes should do so as soon as possible, said Mr Wicks.
He warned that the last day to make changes or enrol was June 21.
The most voters removed from the roll in any electorate were in Wellington Central, where 3026 people needed to re-enrol. The seat is held by Labour's Marian Hobbs.
Christchurch Central, held by Labour's Tim Barnett, followed with 2365 voters removed, and Dunedin North, held by Labour's Pete Hodgson, was third with 2247.
There were 13,142 voters taken off the Maori electoral roll, with 78,900 removed from the general roll.
