Almost 100 police staff faced disciplinary action during the past year for allegations including assault, sexual offending and disgraceful behaviour.
Police conduct national manager Superintendent Steve Hinds said 92 sworn and non-sworn workers faced action in the year to January 19.
The Auckland city and Waitemata districts had the highest number of employees facing disciplinary action, with 16 each.
That was followed by nine in Canterbury and eight in the Bay of Plenty, Counties Manukau and Northland.
Hinds said 26 employees had left while facing action.
Final warnings were given for dishonesty, misuse of the internet and harassment.
Police Association president Greg O'Connor said considering there were 11,000 employees in the force, the figure was "pretty good".
