A pair arrested following the country's largest single seizure of pure methamphetamine were yesterday granted continued name suppression until their next court appearance in two weeks.
The 22-year-old man and 25-year-old woman appeared in Wellington District Court accused of possessing methamphetamine and the man was also charged with importing the drug.
The methamphetamine was estimated to be worth around $8 million. The pair were arrested after an investigation tracked the shipment to the Duxton Hotel in Wellington.
