$80,000 airport Ecstasy bust

Two young men are to appear in court today after being arrested at Christchurch Airport allegedly attempting to smuggle $80,000 worth of the drug Ecstasy into the country.

Customs say the 23-year-olds have been charged with importing the class-B drug. The pair arrived from Brisbane last week allegedly carrying almost 1000 tablets.
