Police are hunting two teenagers who attacked a 75-year-old woman during a robbery in Gisborne yesterday.
The woman was returning home from the Elgin Dairy, on Lytton Road, when she was approached by two youths, described as Maori and in their late teens, who slapped her and pushed her to the ground between 8pm and 9pm, police said.
The pair stole cash and a packet of cigarettes from the woman's bag.
Police have appealed for witnesses.
