A 71-year-old man has proved age is no barrier to crime after allegedly climbing in through the roof of a bank and trying to cut open an ATM. Otago police thwarted the "unusual" burglary attempt when the alarms went off in the Mosgiel branch of the ANZ. The man allegedly climbed on to the roof of the bank and removed roofing panels before making his way in. No money was taken.
