More than 600 people sat down to dine on the Warkworth wharf on Saturday in an attempt to create a world record for the longest dinner.
Organiser Dave Parker said the joined-up tables stretched for 295m.
The $60-a-head event was to raise money for the extension of the riverbank walkway and the restoration of the sailing scow Jane Gifford.
It will be submitted to the Guinness Book of Records.
